Matt Waldman’s RSP Film Room examines the movement and decision-making skills of UTSA RB Sincere McCormick.
Sincere McCormick’s game is headed in the right direction. He’s an efficient mover who has a good feel for keeping his feet free from the trash of the hole.
He also presses creases just enough to influence blocks. However, McCormick doesn’t press deep enough, especially for a player with his footwork.
If McCormick can develop his skills with pressing blocks and display confidence in his footwork to deal with the deep presses, he could become a productive NFL contributor. Right now, he’s too apt to run to open space at the very second it opens rather than manipulating opponents in ways where he can widen the hole.
Until then, he’ll leave yards on the field — even when the fundamental decision is the correct one.
