Matt Waldman’s RSP Boiler Room No.234: DT Derrick Brown (Auburn) Starring As Godzilla

Matt Waldman’s RSP Boiler Room displays Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown’s ability to snatch and move big bodies up front in order to manipulate running backs and make tackles at the line of scrimmage.

Derrick Brown is a body-snatching giant at the point of attack. Guards and centers with the unfortunate job of handling Brown one-on-one will often find themselves used as a pawn to manipulate the running back.

A crude but fun way of picturing it is those old Godzilla movies. Brown is Godzilla, the lineman is a skyscraper and the running back is a helicopter shooting missiles at Brown.

You know exactly what Godzilla would do: Rip the building off its foundation, use it as a shield for the missile, and then toss the building towards the helicopter and force the pilot into an evasive maneuver that allows to attack it from the side.

My closet monster movie addicts, here’s your football Godzilla moment for the week.

For the most in-depth analysis of offensive skill players available (QB, RB, WR, and TE), pre-order the 2020  Rookie Scouting Portfolio for a discounted price of $19.95 during the early-bird period of Thursday, December 5th through Friday, December 27th.

If you’re a fantasy owner and interested in purchasing past publications for $9.95 each, the 2012-2019 RSPs also have a Post-Draft Add-on that’s included at no additional charge.

Best, yet, 10 percent of every sale is set aside until the RSP has reached its annual goal of donating $5,000 Darkness to Light to combat sexual abuse.
