I had the good fortune to join Steven Orosz as a guest on the Gold Blooded podcast a few days ago and discuss a number things:

  • How the RSP rankings and publications work together.
  • My “football” and career back story.
  • The top receivers in this class: Amari Cooper, Kevin White, DeVante Parker, and Dorial Green-Beckham.
  • Where Carlos Hyde would rank among RBs this year.
  • Thoughts on David Cobb’s fit in San Francisco.
  • Any quality tight ends in this draft?
  • After working with Kurt Warner will Kaepernick’s game change enough to take him to the next level of performance?
  • How do I factor in physical thresholds into my analysis and balancing it with a player’s conceptual feel and technique for the game?
  • Advice on watching the game.

The audio quality has a bit of an echo, so don’t presume something is wrong with your settings.

Like what you heard and want to read (a lot) more? The 2015 Rookie Scouting Portfolio is now available.   If you’re in a dynasty league, the combination of the 2015 RSP and the RSP Post-Draft will have you prepared for this year and beyond. Here’s just a sample of what my readers–new and old–are saying about the 2015 RSP.  (Get ready for “Squee!” “Dammit’s” and Jaws Dropping). Remember 10 percent of each sale is donated to Darkness to Light to prevent sexual abuse in communities across the United States. Download the Rookie Scouting Portfolio publication now.
