Kyle Pitts will remind many of Raiders’ tight end, Darren Waller. Both are tall, thin, and sleek athletic prospects who adjust well to targets and win after the catch.

Watching Pitts compete against NFL-caliber athletes, it’s clear that he’ll be ready to win on Sundays as a receiver at the very least as a high-leverage target in an offense. Where he could separate himself from the potential Waller comparisons is his blocking.

Currently, NFL-sized box defenders can overwhelm Pitts with their baseline side and strength. However, Pitts has promising techniques with his hands and feet as a blocker at the line of scrimmage and room to add muscle to his core. Give him a year or two to add athletic weight and get comfortable with those physical changes, and Pitts can be a productive starter whose blocking isn’t lip-service.
