Historical NFL Player: Roy “Jet Stream” Green

Matt Waldman’s RSP showcases Cardinals wide receiver Roy Green, a former cornerback who became one of the most dangerous deep threats of his era — or any era.

Roy Green didn’t have a statistical output on par with the modern era but during his 14-year career, he had heights that few receivers of any era ever attained.

His 1983-84 campaigns were extraordinary, and the `84 season was the third-best in NFL history at the time.

Here’s a profile on Green from the SI.com vault.
